Outsourcing

Why Outsource

As the world becomes increasingly specialized, outside expertise can help you maximize your time and efforts.

According to a University of Tennessee study, almost two thirds (63%) of companies have outsourced a business process to a third party, and the percentage is growing. As defined in the study:

Any process that someone else can perform better, faster or more efficiently than you can do in-house, and is not your marketplace differentiator, is a candidate for outsourcing.

In other words, if your in-house expertise in a field is low, but the value of the activity to the company is high, it is a good candidate for outsourcing. For a manufacturing operation, your market differentiator is the product that you ship to your customer. Your expertise is in designing and manufacturing your product to be competitive in the marketplace.

By outsourcing your equipment procurement function, you benefit by:

  • Accessing expertise you currently don’t have within your company.
  • Reducing lost productivity through the time you and your staff spend away from your primary duties.

  • Not adding expensive headcount for an infrequently used function.
  • Maintaining employee continuity, not hiring and firing for major projects.
  • Keeping the project on-track, not put on the back-burner by more urgent issues.

By using our expertise, you save time and have a more effective buying process.
